Make sure he has all legal documents and identification available incase anything happen while he's in the U.S. Make sure to have an emergency card incase anything should happen. Also, make sure he does have insurance for and lost items, health, car, amongst other things. He needs to know wjere he'll be staying and reseach the area to find out where the hospital is, schools, libraries and most importantly, where places of entertainment is. Know the currency. Don't bring anything illegal to the airport because u.s. airports are supper strict on what you can bring so just check online to make sure so you don't delay. Also, you have to understand English because not a lot of people speak or understand his language. Get maps of the area were he will be residing to be able to get around. If possible, have friends already in the U.S so they can help show him around. Well, i know there are more things, but this all I can think about, good luck!
