Last week I was away on vacation. The day after I arrived home it was snowing all week so i did not get a chance to see anything unusual about my home. Today it's about 61 degrees so i was walking around my house and i noticed that the window in the back of my garage was pryed from the bottom (its an attached garage), i never messed with the window so i'm worried if someone attempted to break in?

It's a good bet someone tried or succeeded in breaking in. Call the police, make a report and then do inventory. Keep your garage closed at all times and put blinds on the window. If they don't see what you have in there, they won't waste their time trying to get something out that may not be there in the first place.

The good news is that they attempted and failed, so they won't be coming back ...
Look for cigarette butts around the garage, damaged plants, random garden objects missing.
Check the garage to see if anything is missing. If it is , file a police report . It is good to have those records for future reference, just in case.

That is a pretty good indication that someone tried to break in. I would talk to the police. Perhaps some other neighbors had problems at the same time as well.
