You should check your tenancy agreement, he cannot just evict you with out reason.
If you have any problems with him speak to your local law centre or citizens advice bureau.

No he can't. But you need to know that the DWP only pay rent for the space you need. I have a friend who lives in a 3 bed house. The DWP deduct for the rooms she does not need (she lives alone). This means that her £100 a week rent is not payable from her benefit. She gets just £50 towards it, and has to fund the rest from her £59 a week incapacity benefit!!! Needless to say she is in arrears, and she can be evicted for that!! If she lived in LA housing, they would pay the whole of the rent regardless of the rooms she had!!

If you have an assured shorthold tenancy(AST)
Your landlord can evict you without reason.
If you are within the fixed term of your tenancy the notice can not fall within this period.
The landlord can serve you with an S21 notice, he needs to give you two months notice though.
If you get housing benefit, you may be able to receive payments and give him the rent without him finding out.

I think you should talk to the citizens advice bureau about this. As long as you keep paying your rent, I can't see no reason for your landlord to evict you. That is prejudice. if he does.

No - but you obviously have to keep up with your rent payments. Dont forget that your landlord will have responsibilities too with regard to a mortgage, so dont let him down.
