I'm graduating in May and my college says to check the bookstore for prices, but they don't have anything listed. I know graduation isn't for awhile, I'm just curious about how much the cap and gown will cost. Most people buy their cap and rent the gown right? So how much is that usually?

Thanks for the answer so far! Except the first one...I need answers from people who have at least graduated from highschool:)

I know, it's strange how they didn't tell us much about our cap and gown. They sent me an email telling me everything I'm supposed to know, with a link to the bookstore for more info about prices. I guess the bookstore needs to update their site.

I graduated 3 years ago and we had to buy our cap and gown. I think total it was about $70.

Depends on the college what the prices are; if you check your schools site you should be able to find rates from the previous year which will give you an estimate. Also call the bookstore and ask weh the rates will be posted. Seems kind of odd that they havent been done by now as its March and graduation is 2 months away but again that depends on the college
