Have you ever read the uneducated, self-absorbed questions and answered posted by both party sides on this website? We did it to ourselves by not thinking critically about the issues.

The "most" corrupt politicians are eventually caught,
convicted and removed from office. Don't forget
that situations change daily so what a politician said
or is saying is not an "absolute" . Politicians are human
and can only react to things as they are perceived at
a given moment - when things change the political
answer and reality will become different...therefore,
the politicians opinion and answer will change. They
are only human and can not be expected to make promises and statements which are not subject to the
evolving nature of daily life. i.e. "I will never go
to war." says the politician. Two days after the
election the capital city is attacked by a foreign enemy
that had been no threat before the election. Should
the politician not defend the country to avoid being
perceived as a liar? Of course not....situations change-
realities change-answers change.

It is not so much a matter of corruption as the need to have a lot of support. Support by the waelthiest and most influential people and groups is necessary in any contest. The message is useless if it cannot be gotten out. There are many great potential candidates for any political office that will never even be heard or seen. Fame and personal charm have also entered the picture as television has become the source of most information. It is not just the message anymore. It is also the medium.

This is only a minor infraction compared to the real corruption! I've been studying up on the corruption over the past years since JFK and it is mind blowing! There wouldn't be a division in this country if they all realized how bad each party can be. The last Administration is the absolute worst!

When the Supreme COurt ruled that money = speech, whereas you cannot limit the funding a candidate uses, as that is limiting free speech. What we SHOULD do, is overturn that ruling, set up a national campaign fund, and let people donate money pre tax to the fund. And those funds will be capped at, say, $25.oo per person. Aditionally, allow a maximum amount of air time, for FREE, for all candidates. We could use a little socialism on this, it is supposed to be 'of the people, by the people, and for the people'. So let the people decide

America does not hold the patent to political corruption. Most countries throughout the world, big and small, rich and poor, are corrupt. Many people with conceived power and money make it their mission in life to control everything they can to include American politicians.

Its a matter of all governments. Most governments only stand about 100 years before they begin to fall into corruption....ours has been around since 1776.

They keep us satiated with fear....the left has global warming, whie the right has global terrorism. And when we are afraid, we run to mommy and daddy to fix it. The left wants to be your mommy, the right wants to be your daddy.
