i believe you get a warning at first and then so on. secound should be banned for a while third is banned forever and if you make a new screenname which i dont think it will let you unles on a different computer you will be proscecuted

depends - legal areas, it depends on the "crime"
on Yahoo answers, you get screwed! People report alleged "abuse" and your comment is deleted. They CLAIM that they investigate but I doubt it. For example, I was reported for using "epithets & slurs." If anyone had read my comment, they would have eliminated the abuse report, not my comment. I never use that type of language!
In addition Yahoo has the "sole discretion" to deactivate your account and won't give a reason for the deactivation unless they are "required by law."
However, you have NUMEROUS people that will post horrible lies, especially in the immigration area, and they continue to make comments and nothing is done.

on yahoo,you lose ten points and after so many violations yahoo will take your account including your email.
in life if it is child abuse you can lose your kid(s) depending on the severity. counseling at the least.

I just got a violation - for language
the question said 'scared' and I answered 'afraid'?
I did not use correct language?
so what you do is respond and defend your answer
