while installing java i am getting the message as "the cabibet file 'data1.cab' is corrupt",what to do?

The installer program is likely corrupt. You need to delete the current Java installer and check in Add Remove programs, too.

Then, download it again, this time from Sun's website.

What version of windows and is it java compatable? Uninstall Java and reinstalling to see if you get the same mssage. If you do your computer may not be able to handle that version of Java without upgrading the operating system. If you have an old computer you may not be able to upgrade the O.S.
