There is an abortion pill. It can only be given very early in the pregnancy. It has also been called the morning after pill. While with any drug there is a potential for side effects, this one is actually fairly safe and is available without a doctors prescription in some areas. There are also other methods of overdosing on the birth control pill or herbs that have been said to cause abortions, THESE ARE DANGEROUS and should not be tried. If you are considering abortion, and it is too late for the morning after pill. Go to a professional. This can be done confidently and greatly decreases your chances of becoming very ill or even dieing(which is what happens with the other methods)

They exist, and yes, they do hurt and sometimes kill women. In a "medical" abortion, two chemicals are given. The first cuts off the baby's source of nourishment, causing her to starve to death inside the womb. The second chemical causes hard contractions to push the dead baby out of the mother's body. This takes an average of nine days, bleeding is profuse, and pain is severe. Sometimes, parts of the baby are left inside the womb, where they can rot and cause infection. This is what killed 18-year-old Holly Patterson in California several years ago. At least 11 women have died after aborting their baby with "medication":

It's important to note that all methods of abortion have risks. In a surgical abortion, the abortionist must first force open the cervix, which is very tightly closed to protect the baby. This can result in tearing and permanent damage. He then inserts a sharp-tipped suction tube into the womb and turns on suction 30 times more powerful than a vacuum cleaner. The suction tears the baby apart and pulls her out of the womb. He then inserts a curette (a loop-shaped steel knife) into the womb to scrape out any remaining parts of the baby and the placenta. Some abortionists use only the curette to cut apart the baby rather than using suction. Abortion is a "blind procedure." The abortionist cannot see what he is doing after he inserts the sharp instruments into the womb, but must go by "feel." As a result, he can puncture the uterus, bowel, or bladder.

Here is more information on the risks:

The most important thing to think about, however, is the fact that every abortion kills an innocent human being. By the time most women know they are pregnant (just 3 weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating. By 6 weeks, the baby has tiny fingers and recordable brain waves.

Yes there are pills that will abort a fetus. Go to the Planned Parenthood website (it gives you all the info). Statistically giving birth has more risk than having an abortion (medical or surgical).

Also, the morning after pill (plan B) is not an abortion pill. The morning after pill is intended to prevent pregnancy (egg fertalization and implanting), it will not abort a fetus.

The morning after pill isn't a form of abortion, but the pill for abortion is called RU-486 or something like that. It was first developed in Europe, it's only intended for the first few weeks of pregnancy and it basically makes you sort of miscarry on purpose. Makes you bleed like you have your period. I'm not sure if the process hurts or not.

There's the morning after pill (Plan B), and then there's an actual abortion pill called RU486. You can learn more about RU486 here: http://www.ru486.org/

the morning after pill isn't really an abortion. I would think that it has to be an actual baby inside you to be abortion...
