My parents used to have a cassett business, and cassettes have been on their way out for a while!

I haven't been able to buy a cassette in a few years now...LOL! I think a more current question would be Are CDs on their way out? Which I would answer YES! They are being replaced by MP3s and music files and you don't have to keep up with much... Cassettes make good belt buckles! CDs make good coasters! :-)

Cassettes are past "on their way out." They are out. But I still use them sometimes. My car doesn't have a cd player, so I plug in the tape adapter to listen to my cds. I have a few tapes in there too, from way back when. Sometimes I put one in for a blast from the past. And you know what? They never skip.

yes cassettes are on their way out but it will be awhile as so many people have machines that play them..not like beta max or the old eight track players...but i don't buy many cassettes as i have plenty of the old ones.

Yes,I still use my cassettes. Mostly, I listen to CDs, but I have some mixed tapes made just for me, and I will always listen to them.

I think in the end, the only two musical mediums will be digital and vinyl. Vinyl for audiophiles and digital for everyone else.
And yes, I still use cassettes, They're hella cheap!

Yeah probably .. tapes are going away replaced by CDs(because tapes wear out).. large tv sets are on their way out.. (replaced by flat screens nobody can afford)..
I just inherited an old 78 collection but I can still buy record players.. reverse trend?
