Yes Green was UK/US (late comers)
Blue the Germans
and yellow the Japanese
Red were the fearless and mighty Russians

Only green. We just fought each other. We didn't pick countries. I seem to remember that the cowboys and Indians were blue, red and yellow, though. When our toy soldiers disappeared, we would use bottle caps for soldiers.
