Even people with the biggest egos know their intellect falters at some times. Do you, answering these questions, really think your knowledge is good or right enough to influence the mind of the person who asked the question? I mean, if you want to make a decent point, at least back it up, right?

Intelligence is much more than an IQ Test. A person can be incredibly intelligent yet drink drive and end up in a wheel chair . Intelligence is a word that was created by a bunch of scientists In order to segregate people and thus create inequality . I probably won't be voted best question but does that really matter . After all I'm only expressing my opinion and that is what yahoo answers is all about .

I don't give my opinion without consideration of what I'm gonna say. I don't give advice without some knowledge of what I'm talking about or at least doing some research on the question. Am I intelligent...of course. Am I smart...to some degree. Am I wise...I always try to use the wisdom I have as best I can. Do I have an ego...Oh I hope not. Am I trying to influence anyone...NO. Just trying to help.

I personally will answer a question if I have enough knowledge about the subject. However, if I don't have all the sufficient facts or just don't know the answer then I'll keep my fingers off of the keyboard. I just hate all the smartalecks that come on here with their sarcastic answers to some serious questions that have been asked, or the ones that have smartaleck questions to begin with.

Intelligence is many different things. If you want to know about physics then there are definite answers to questions. In most other areas intelligence has to do with creative thinking. Some one may not be smarter than you, but they think differently and they have the answer that eluded you. And why are you such an a**. Are you smarter than all of us???

I'm intelligent enough to know I don't know everything. I've had a lot of life experiences, and I've learned a lot of things along the way. I only answer questions I really have an answer for. I know a lot of people are answering these questions, too.....and it's up to the asker to decide which answer he likes best. If they choose to take someone elses advice over mine, there's nothing I can do about it.

I suppose taking time to answer any question at all means you feel like you know something about the subject... But it's just a site, and it's just people trying to get some opinions and answers. You should probably lighten up, and understand not all questions have black and white answers.

I don't consider myself a genius but if I don't know an answer I can most often find a correct one . If I give a serious answer it is quite reliable and I can back it up as it's not pulled out of thin air though sometimes if I know the answer for sure in my head then I don't provide source information.

Honestly, I don't! Others keep saying that I am however, and I trust their judgment more than I trust my own. I believe that when we are born we know everything that there is to know about "ME!" Me, Me, Me! As we progress through life, we continue to give up a little bit of me to learn about "OTHER" As the rest of the universe becomes more and more important to us we eventually come to the point where we consider something more important than we are. At that point we are ready to grow and blossom into a consciousness that eventually realizes that it knows next to nothing about everything! When we come to that epiphany, we are ready to begin our journey.

Intelligence does not make you happier. It does not make you healthier or add joy to your life. The more you know, the more powerless you generally feel about the things in life that you can't change or the infinite number of decisions there are to make over any given situation. Intelligence without emotional maturity is a curse. Intelligence without self discipline is parasitism. Intelligence is just one tool that you either learn to use to your advantage, to the advantage of your species, or to the advantage of your universe or reality. The most important thing that it has taught me is that I am no more significant to the universe, than the germ through the microscope is as I choose to look at it for a moment before I move on to something else that interests me more after a few moments. I used to want to change the world, then I settled for wanting to change my community, them myself. Now I am content just to understand what I can about myself and try to focus on what I can do to clarify what I think I know.

I don't really think Answers is much good for fact-finding. There's always wiki or something else for that. I think the main benefit of Answers is not facts but opinions. I like to see what other people think about things, even if they're wrong. And I don't mind letting them see what I think at the same time.

i thought the whole point is to answer with the knowledge you have. a lot of these on here are only opinion questions so how can you back up just an opinion? in some cases there's no way to back it up.
