I love the name! It sounds good and has a great ring to it. My husband wanted to name our first son after him(there is a story behind it) so we did. i actually used the same first and middle name but instead of Jr. I went with II to prevent people from calling him junior.
Now to prevent both of them to come running and sayin what? we call our son little man or use his name and if i want my hubby i actually say daddy or honey. or i will look at the one that im talking to. it does work.
don't let anyone scare you from doing this. My son has his own personality and no one confuses the other ever. and he has made is own mark in the world around him so he is his own person and not "attached" to his dad just because they share the same name. wish you luck!

I'm pregnant right now and I know how hard it is to come up with names for a baby. I like the way the name flows together. It has a nice ring to it. However, I always feel bad for kids that are named after a parent. Names are so personal. Giving your son his father's name seems to take some of the personalness out of it because he'll already have an identity attached to the name. Besides, imagine saying the word "Jeffrey" and having both dad and son come running. If that is definately the route you want to go, I think it does sound nice. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

When my husband and I had our son, we wanted to name him after my husband. We decided against naming him the same name as my husband. Instead, they both share the same middle name. We gave our son a unique first name, but kept a family name as the middle name. Jeffrey Ryan does sound good, but maybe you could use Jeffrey as his middle name? Congrats on the baby!

It's a nice name. I'm not sure about all the "r" sounds together though. Maybe a different middle name??

i think that the name is very nice, i try to imagine the child when it is older, and how the name will be reacted. Like if you name your baby, zachy (couldnt think of anything else) when it is older. his name will make it harder for him to get a job, etc.

So try to imagine his when for when he is older....

good luck and Congratulations!! =]
