away and you didnt get reg or name of firm would you keep the goodies.No way of knowing who it belongs to.Or would you hand it in.

I would collect the things up in the bakc of my truck. I would wait a few minutes for the driver to return. If they didn't return, I would take the things home. I would then keep an eye out for any news of who the things belonged to. If someone posted something, on the news or something, I would return the things to them. If I didn't hear anything and could not find the person, then I would keep the things and feel I had been responsible and fair in trying to find who the true owners was.

That's happened to me before. A big plastic bag bounced out of the back of a delivery van on the freeway and landed on the side of the road. I stopped and picked it up and proceeded to chase the van. I tried, but I didn't catch them. I had no way of knowing who the stuff belonged to. There was nobody I could turn it in to. So I kept it. The bag was full of throw pillows.....the kind you put on your sofa, or bed. I gave them as Christmas gifts that year.

if it was some big corporation's goodies, hell yeah. if they were an honest, small-business man's, then I'd return 'em.
