When I say money driven I mean , music that lacks the passion and believable drama that musicians of the past were so good at portraying .

I agree with you, music today to my ears as is bland tofu is to my taste buds. Ho hum.

Radio stations and record companies are in bed together nowdays. What I mean by that is, most radio stations are no longer independent, most of them are owned by big corporations that are somehow affiliated with recording companies. They get force fed music to play without regards to whether it is actually GOOD or not... "You WILL play this..." Sad but true, it's all about money. And people wonder why I listen to oldies. Sheesh.

Youre just getting old - music is just the same as it was 10 years ago, or 50, or 100. Even back in the days of John Philip Souza, music was "money driven" - it has been ever since the first musician worked for pay!!
