As human beings, if we execute anyone(even those who deserve it), we are no better than the murderer who committed the crime. Only the divine has the right to begin/end a life.

No, there is no data showing that capital punishment is a deterrent.
Texas, for example, has the highest number of executions, and among the highest crime.

No, I'm not against the death penalty, but there are enough sick individuals out there that would probably kill someone just to be hanged in public and become famous.

No, criminals don't think they could get caught, so the death penalty doesn't fright them away...Besides only pariah countries do still use the death penalty anyway.
