If there are dried on layers of scum, a plastic scraper will do the trick. Also, for the cleaners you are using, make sure you are letting them soak for a while before scrubbing.

Hi - My husband was a mechanic and as you can imagine, the tub was always a mess! We have fiberglass and I, like you, tried many things. The best item is the Mr Clean magic eraser. You still have to wipe with it, but with a small amount of elbow grease, all the gunk comes off. For in-between cleaning, Scrubbing Bubbles seems to do the trick. The other thing I discovered is that bar soap leaves more scum than liquid soap, so we have both changed to liquid body washes and it makes a difference. My hubby even likes to use the "puff" (in black, of course...)
Good Luck!

Heat white vinegar until it is hot, but not too hot to pout into a spray bottle. spray it on the shower and tub wait 10 min and scrub with a sponge covered in vinegar. if you have a hard to move spot let it soak longer in vinegar. this really does the trick and will leave a spot free shine!

Sounds crazy, but the best thing I've found to clean the tub is toilet cleaner. Try it, see if it works for you!

Car wax... yup, car wax. Cool thing is that once you have it clean, the wax provides a beading effect to prevent it from happening easily in the future.
