i think cover girl has this thing that lists there colors and you put it over your hand and whatever color matches up is the color you buy. or go to a make up counter and ask someone for help.

try the tru-blend or whatever stuff. you can match your skin tone easily to the color palates they have in any store where they sell them and get something that works for you

my new favorite is the loreal true match, it comes in all different colors and has cool,warm and brown undertones, its awesome

i would say fair to light color is your best choice.
