Anything that is smashed to avoid choking is okay. But you should avoid too many dairy products or anything that can make him constipated. Seafood is also not good because it can spread food poisening and best to ignore period. Table food is perfect as long as it is smashed. But he still needs breastmilk/formula (four -6 oz bottles a day).

Table food is just fine, give him whatever you guys are eating. I use frozen vegetables, but i boil them for a little bit longer than ours, so they are mushier. Little bits of meat, mashed potatoes, any kind of vegetable or fruit cut up small is appropriate for this age. You should have given him/her most of the mushed up baby food already. Just basically because you dont want him to have an allergic reaction to anything that you are giving him. If you are going to try a new food make sure that you give it to him for 3-4 days to make sure that it doesnt cause an allergic reaction or an upset tummy or diarrihea.

try to avoid cows milk until he's 1, but yoghurt and cheese are ok. also avoid nut products like peanut butter and eggs. These can cause allergies if introduced too early.
Apart from that, your normal cooking is fine. Take some out for him BEFORE you season yours, babies do not need seasoning. Add water to make it a soft consistency and puree.
But remember that tomato products can cause nappy rash as they are quite acidic.
My children loved mashed banana and mashed avocado, even half and half mashed together. Mashed pumpkin is great, too. Meat should be given around 9 to 10 months but I gave mine some pureed meat within casseroles from 7 months. Baby cereals and Porridge made with breast milk or formula are great too. (Water tastes horrible)
Normal yoghurt is fantastic. Plain is best.
Hope that helps

does he have a lot of teeth. You do still need to give him some baby ceral, formula, and baby food so he gets all the iron he needs but if he has enough teeth chop up whatever you are eating, make it very small, and give it to him.
