do women talk more than men?

I need your help, i don't believe that women talk more than men! is there any proof or is it just something people made randomly up?

This is DEFINITELY accurate in Western societies. There are dozens of studies on this and I can say it without hesitation. Here:

It may not be completely accurate, but it's just a start to show you some information.

Of course, there are always differences in individuals, so in some instances men talk more and women talk less. From MY analysis of real life, however, it is usually women that talk more than men.
The line could probably be more blurred for younger people, though.

I think overall women probably talk more than men. They are just made that way. Women are more emotional and have the need to talk things out. Men are more logical and prefer to just let things go. I don't think it is a negative statement about women, but I do think it's true.

My guess is that people made that up because I’ve been in conversations where a male dominated the whole thing. I think everyone have a different personality, some people can talk to a stranger and have a long conversation, others like myself talk when I feel like it. For example, have you ever had a coworker that all she/he these is talk even if your not talk back, will that person can be either male or female.
Now if a man feels that a women talk too much is because his women is annoying him and he just don’t feel like hearing her mouth.
But, my point is men and women talk a lot it just depends on the individual

that's just differs from a person to person
some person like to talk more & some less

if a men/women is much talkative or a men/women is not at all talkative, will you catogrize all women/men on the basis of five-six

YES WOMEN TALK MORE THAN MAN . they like teasing other women and making gossips about them which man mostly dont do . but exceptions are always their in every field.

i think they do. women feel uncomfortable when noone is talking so they start a topic that is how i m.

they care about others that is why they talk they don;t want anyone getting bored.

Yeah but we have a lot more to talk about silly, such as our job, our mate, our family, getting groceries, shopping, cooking, yadda, yadda.
