If it's truly what you want to do, then go for it. It's not unheard of to do. During our recent round of residency interviews we had two candidates that were 'older' - one was late 30s and one was 42. They already had a career in the medical profession (one was a nurse another was a physician assistant) and decided to go to medical school. Also, a friend of my boyfriend's - his mother recently completed her medical school and then residency in her 40s. One thing to be mindful of though is what area of medicine you wish to go into once you graduate med school. Residencies are typically 3-5 years and some are likely not to consider an older candidate for their program.

My personal opinion is there's no age limit for studying so if you're interested in med at 35, sounds perfectly fine to me.
The only thing is you shouldn't be too encumbered with kids or other work because medical studies demand lot of time and focus.
Good luck!

Doubtful you would get accepted into any program. Remember, a doctor has to sponsor your recommendation. And, with any specialization you'd be 50+ before starting to pay your loans.

no but you need to be realistic-if you already have children it will be hard. if you dont no one may want to sponsor you because you might leave befor efinishing to have children
but dont be easily discouraged-do what is right for you
i hope this helps

No. Everyone who aspires for something to achieve is always commendable, regardless of their age, status or stature in life.
