No.

Dawn of the dead's a bit more comedic and kind of follows a bunch of different people with different situations. There's a lot more "mindless zombieing" in it i would say.

28 days later is a bit more serious, meaning i think it takes a more serious approach to what would really happen if all of a sudden there were zombies everywhere. It looks at human nature and survival.

IMO, i think 28 days is a really good movie to see, and better than Dawn.

no

in the Dawn of the Dead the people are dead meaning they are zombies (get infected, die and then reanimate) , whereas in 28 Days Later the people are still alive except that they infected by a rage virus (plague).

28 Days Later rocks !

No DofTD involves straight out zombies raised from the dead.
28 days later involved a disease (transmitted by blood and saliva) accidentally released from a lab by ultra Peta freaks. The similarity has more to do with the theme that in such situations..the people we are trapped with are infinitely more dangerous than what has trapped us.

Not really.
It's made by the director of Trainspotting, and probably has more in common with The Day The Earth Stood Still, and The Bodysnatchers.

There is no connection whatsoever. . :-)
They are just both about zombies. But so is Resident Evil and it has nothing to do with Dawn of The Dead either... ;-)

I have a feeling it is, even though I've only seen dawn of the dead, didn't like it all that much but it was a decent flick.
