hey, i want to buy an electric drum kit and i can either buy one off ebay that looks great, but i don't know if the brand is any good. I think the brand is called OSP and the model is called DD-502. And the other set i could buy is from Long and McQuade in my home town. It's a Roland set, model TD-3. That set is probably going to be more expensive than buying the OSP set on eBay... anyone knows anything about these two sets or electric kits in general?

definitely the Roland. osp is a new eBay store brand and i would not trust them. in fact, the Roland model you mentioned happens to be the exact model we have at our praise band (I'm the drummer). we have had that set for 3 years now and has never given us any trouble. they're exremaly durable, sound great!, and have a very good feel and bounce when playing the kit. I love them.

if you buy the Roland, you most definitely get what you paid for.

i imagine Traps flat drum instruments run for about 400-500 also, why no longer get a novices set... you're a newbie... :S including aspects on your drum set comes later once you understand what you're doing. solid success. :)
