Original the rumor was the John Malcovich was actor playing the no-nonscense caveman (one who loses his appepite). However, these were just rumors, Jeff Daniel Phillips and Ben Weber have been credited as the cavemen actors.

Have been wondering that myself, however, i read on CNN this a.m. that they are actually going to make a pilot for a sitcom called "Cavemen" using the guys from the Geico commercial. That ought to be a hoot!
