you need to right click on your mouse and select properties. next, click on the tab that says screen saver. now under the pulldown bar where you select the screen saver ther should be some thing that looks like this:
Wait: *blank minutes*
in that area you put how many minutes to wait for the screen saver to pop up.

Right click on Desktop > Properties > select "Screen Saver" tab
Here you can either remove the screen saver or altogether or use "Settings" button to increase or decrease screen saver time.

Unless you like the look of it or use password protection, you could follow the previous instructions, but just turn it off (choose None) under the ScreenSaver Tab.
Screensavers serve no useful on today's monitors. Years (20) ago, a fixed screen image would burn itself into the phosphur and you'd be stuck with a ghostly outline on your CRT monitor.

Windows 8.. control panel.. appearance and personalization ... under personalization press change screen saver...you are now in screen saver settings.. change the wait minutes to what ever you want (mine said one minute)and un-check on resume, display logon screen...that's it

right click on the mouse when your at your desk top go to properties then click on screensaver then it lets you put how many min. you want it to pop up after hope this helps
