I'm 34.5 wks I've been stressing and worrying a lot the last few wks; mostly about money, car insurance, cars getting fixed, paying bills, getting the baby's things cleaned and ready for him, cleaning my house from top to bottom before he gets here. Also to get into my house I have to climb 17 stairs (and carry groceries up it). I can't exactly get my hubby to help because hes working 12 hr shifts for the next week, plus hes trying to get our cars fixed. So, I'm just kinda screwed. But all of the bending over is about to kill me. A couple of nights ago I really got into cleaning, and the next morning my left side was hurting so bad that I wanted to cry. I don't know if it was from me pushing myself to my max, or if I just bent down to pick something up just right causing it to hurt.

Whats the possibility that I could put myself into labor within the next few weeks? Other than the possibility the baby just might be ready to come out on his own.

I can't exactly get anyone to help me because all of our family lives in the USA and we are currently in Japan (military), and I don't have any friends here where we are living.

All your stressing can tense you up and get contractions going. I just took a friend to the hosp a few weeks ago for exactly that. They made her lay down and drink ice water. The contractions tapered off and they sent her home the next day. Now when I go over and find her stressing about something (she ALWAYS stresses!) I fix her some water and make her sit in the recliner. She has one wk to go.
As for not having friends...are there any kids or teens nearby? They love to help,no matter the country, especially when a baby is involved in any way. Ask anyone of them you see in the neighborhood!
I can't imagine the loneliness of being overseas at this time in your pregnancy. Just remember that you have people back home concerned and praying for you and your new family!

You just need to take it easy. Go out for walks, relax. I started using evening primrose oil at 34 weeks. It really has helped my cervix soften up. The dr. says I'll never make it to 39 weeks!! My baby and I are really healthy as well. I insert 2 pills vaginally every night before I go to bed. You will want to wear a pantyliner. some of the extra oil leaks out. They disolve within 2 hours. So, before you get up to use the bathroom again, they should be disolved!! I'm 37 weeks, 2 cm, and 50% effaced! I know the pills helped me out!

Your fine :) You just over did it a bit. I carry my 1 1/2 year old (who is 35lbs) up and down our basements stairs about 6-8 times a day. I hasn't caused me to go into labor yet (unfortunately lol). Also you are considered full term at 34 weeks, the baby should be fine even if you do go into labor.

I would try and not to worry so much. I know that it is hard to do. Try not pushing yourself to hard. 34 weeks is not considered full term.. We try to get our moms to at least 38+ weeks. 40 weeks is considered full term. Just try and relax and get some rest. I am sure it is hard for you. I will be thinking of you and hope you can hang on for several more weeks for you and your baby.
