I am not aware of progesterone preventing chromosomal abnormalities.

You are right that a progesterone's purpose is to sustain the uterine lining for a pregnancy. If you have low progesterone, progesterone supplements taken after ovulation can help prevent a miscarriage due to low progesterone.

However, I'm not a doc, so I can't say w/ certainty.

I do know that progesterone is not a medication to be taken lightly, even over the counter natural progesterone cream. If you do not have low progesterone, it can cause serious problems w/ your cycle.

I highly recommend doing a websearch and thourough research before taking it.

You might also try charting your fertility signs (cervical fluid and temperature). If there are any issues w/ your cycle, charting can show them to you. If you do indeed have low progesterone, your chart will reveal it.

I hope this is not offensive, but what testing was done to determine that chromosomal abnormalities was the cause of m/c? As far as I know, only genetic testing done on the baby can determine this cause. There are other causes of repeat pregnancy loss. One of those is due to anticardiolipin antibodies (also known as antiphospholipid antibodies). These are relatively easy to treat but can cause RPL if not treated. If you're not 100% sure that it was chromosomal abnormalities or that it was the only cause, then I'd highly recommend exploring other possibilies too.

Some good sources: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

Clomid is a ask your self drug for countless women. There are confident fulfillment thoughts obtainable and pondering how inexpensive that's, i could propose attempting it. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that. on your first cycle, i could get close monitoring. Clomid could have component consequences that are counterproductive to fertility. Clomid can skinny your lining (a thick lining is crucial to implantation) and dry up your fertile cervical fluid (fertile CM is serious to sperm surviving interior the female reproductive tract). additionally, you decide on ultrasounds to make advantageous your ovaries are dealing with the stimulation ok and you at the instant are not being hyperstimulated. in case you don't get those component consequences you could desire to be comfortable with it. Clomid would not impact me that way so no longer actual everyone gets those s/e's. the different subject is be arranged for the emotional rollercoaster. that's common for many women to get warm flashes, temper swings, and issues from Clomid. that's the amped up hormones that are in charge. back, it wasn't something that i could no longer cope with and that i could do Clomid back. For some women nevertheless, they like to no longer bypass by way of it. the different subject i could desire to assert right this is that progesterone tiers are in simple terms valid if taken 7 days after ovulation. that's somewhat achievable that your "low" consequences have been given which you weren't examined on the suitable time. Timing is each and every little thing with that try. solid luck.
