Does it smell like coolant or is it just water?

If it smells like coolant, it's probably your heater core. If it's just water and you have A/C, look for a little plastic hose that is probably loose up under there. You should be able to see a little fitting that it mates with. The water is condensation from your evaporator core, which is normal. The little hose is supposed to let the water run out the bottom of the vehicle, and not on your passenger's new shoes.

Hope this helps.

is the battery over the effected area? Check the battery compartment hasnt rotted through, failing that most probably the heater core. Does the car smell a bit curry like? Antifreeze causes this smell so if it does its definately the heater. Also chech that leaves havnt blocked the drain hole where the fan takes its air from, this was a prob on a vauxhaul ive had before.

put a bit of food colouring in some water and dry the footwell out then get somebody to slowly pour it all around your windscreen seals and door seals in fact all seals in the vicinity if no red water is coming through then you could have a dodgy heater matrix or split pipe

If your corsa has a sun, roof its running down the door post if not, if the heaters are cold on the car it could be your heater matrix leaking, or your windscreen rubbers are leaking.

Sounds like you have a bad heater core. maybae even just a bad heater hose going to it. most likely the core though. This is definetly not something you should try by yourself unless you are very skilled. And expensive.
