No, of course it isnt bad luck. it's Dumb to NOT be prepared for a new coming baby. Just buy it if you see a good deal. It's fun to get ready for a new baby. Not bad luck.
Best wishes with your new little one. Take good care of him or her! Your baby will need you so much!!

No!!
I had my cot at about 6 months and went to choose the pram when I was 7 months. Didn't bring it into the house until after I had the baby - I left it at my mums until then!! That came from an old wives tale that its bad luck to have the pram in the house before the baby was born. That and it was a teeny house and didn't want to be tripping over it longer than need be!

I don't think so, I think it's common sense! That way you are not leaving it all yill the last minute!
Your baby could come at 8 months and be perfectly healthy - if that happened, where would s/he sleep?? How would you get him/her home?
I waited until 28 weeks to buy anything, and I'm now 30 weeks and have almost everything ready - all that and I had a high risk pregnancy! I thought it was especially important to have stuff ready in case my little girl decided to come into this world a bit early!
Good luck, don't be superstitious!

it is said that you can buy everything for the baby after you are 3 months gone but people say it's bad luck to have the pram in the house until the baby is born if it's your first baby

Nah. Most people leave it late so that they don't take up loads of room, that's the reason i left it late.
Most people who were ordering their stuff from the shop were having their prams, cots etc delivered right at the very end of their pregnancy!

No way, superstitious nonsense. We got stuff for our little boy well before 8 months. Planning ahead was best as my wife was so tired closer to the birth. I do however think it wise to not think of buying anything in the first three months, that is the real high risk time.

Nah, my mum went white when i told her we had got a pram and were keeping it in the house (apparently another big no-no if your superstitious) But my son was born a healthy 8lbs so dont worry about these mindless wivestales - im sure ppl just make them up cause they dont think you have enough to worry about - yeah right! lol. Just concentrate on the important things - you and your bump! xx good luck! xx

No I wouldn't say it's bad luck, but still not a good idea. Not trying to scare you but the first time my Mother was pregnant, her friends threw her a baby shower while she was still pregnant. The baby was a stillbirth (skull didn't develop) and then my Mother had to go home and get rid of bottles, blankets, sleepers, crib, stroller, etc. It was the worst thing she ever had to do, so I say wait till the baby comes before you start buying that stuff. I don't buy anything for an unborn baby because I can't imagine what it's like to have to do that.

i do not imagine that is a fantastic theory to purchase something for the toddler till the 12th week of being pregnant - or announce the being pregnant for that count number. First trimester miscarriages are extremely hardship-loose or perhaps as i do not imagine this is undesirable success to inform people or announce issues in the previous, it makes it a lot more durable contained in the fashion of a being pregnant loss to face those products or people.
