In XP, right click the My Computer Icon, and click manage. Select Device manager. From there you will see any bluetooth devices if they exist. Normally, desktop PC's do not have bluetooth.

Look around and check anything (other than mouse and keyboard) connected to the USB ports. Bluetooth device for PC normally comes in pen drive shape. good luck..

Go to: www.belarc.com and install the Belarc Advisor. When you run it, you will be able to see if your motherboard includes Bluetooth.
