I say Lofton hands down. He put up 34 vs Memphis, 20 vs OSU's Dove (maybe the best defender in the BIG 12), 29 vs Vandy, 21 vs Ohio ST., 23 vs Kentucky, 20 vs Bama, 31 vs Arkanasas, and 21 vs Florida. He consistenetly took the 6'9 Cory Brewer (SEC defensive Player of the Year) to the hole. His team only won 1 of 4 while he was out with an injury. Still leads the SEC in scoring despite limited minutes in the 3 or 4 games he first came back from his injury. Talk shows all say Derrick Byars is player of the year. WHAT???????

You are absolutely correct...There is no doubt that Chris Lofton is the best player in the league...And the most valuable...Byars is a solid player, Lofton showed his worth when he was injured and Tennessee went on hard times losing 3 of 4....There is no player in the league that is more valuable than Chris Lofton...Not just for his scoring...He has turned into an excellent passer...And continues to be a solid defender...There is no one in the SEC that is more clutch than Chris Lofton
