Yeah...it bugs me to.
I think they may also not realize that sometimes, someone may answer by email and not post on their open question. I have had a few of those. Also, after your question is no longer open I get emails sometimes offering another bit of advise...email option is nice to have.

I know how you feel. It is frustrating but we have to respect their decision. Maybe they really dont have the time to check their mail. Just say a prayer for them and try to help others.

I dont know why some people dont allow email. I like receiving mail - so long as it's not junk from advertising!!!!!!!!!!!!
