First of all, he is not your best friend if he is willing to destroy your image in the eyes of your girlfriend just to try to steal her away.

Secondly, if she loves you as much as you believe then she won't believe him. She will only believe him if she's already had doubts.

Thirdly, if you've never given her anything to doubt your faithfulness and character and she is still won over by him then she wasn't worth your effort to begin with.

Love is a strong bond that is shared by two people that is forged with love, faithfulness and trust. Love is when you can not see your life without the other and when you are apart, both of you, would do everything it took to be together again. But beware of obsession and unrequitted love, or fool's love, they can seem like the real thing but fool you until you already too deep and only the strong of heart can survive the process of separation.

You have to sit her down and talk to her. Tell her how you feel. Ask her how she feels about what you say. Make sure that you know that this is all real and not some sort of paranoia. Based on what she says you will know what you must do...
Is she worth your efforts and spending the rest of your still long-life-ahead-of-you with?
Do you think that she really loves you? Has she ever given you reason to doubt her?
Have you done anything that would make her doubt you? If so, did she forgive you?
What does this "best friend" of yours mean to her? Can the both you live your lives without him?
Best wishes and take care.

tell your gf about what he is doing to your relationship. if she loves you as much as you say, then she will trust you. then you need to do anything and everything to get your "best friend" to back off. if you talk to him and nothing happens, have your gf help you out.
