When I left, I just wanted out....away from him. I was going to live with my parents and I was full time student not working. I decided it would be best for the kids to stay with hime because our son just started school. That was in june of 2005. Since then I have graduated form nursing school and bought my own house. We ahve tried to work togather on a schedule but he is very diffIcult. I have got lawyer and we are going back to court on the 21st of march. I really need some advice....my doesnt seem like she wants to guide me she just doing the paper work. I feel like its to late in the game to switch lawyers... but I need help!!!!

You are right. You made a big mistake. If I were him I would fight you to the end. YOU LEFT!!! Your parents could have helped you raise him......your "just starting school" excuse sounds like a big bunch of crap. Another thing.....you said that he started school in June of 2005?? That doesn't even make sense!!! Unless I am badly mistaken....doesn't school usually END in June??

First of all you didn't buy a house unless your parents helped you. Second, your lawyer most likely knows what to do. The judge will do what is best for the children. You gave them up once. The question is...Will you give them up again?

Ask for a conference with the Judge who heard your case, then get a really good lawyer. Don't start with one, wait for reccommendations from the Judge. If you get them, you have a friendly judge who is familiar with the case and a chance.
If you get no cooperation from the judge, THEN you go to a lawyer but less chances

Give your lawyer a chance. Your not going to get custody back. But you may be able to change some things. Were you ordered to pay support? If you havent been you may end up in jail.
