You are not supposed to bathe dogs that often - you get rid of the natural oils in their coats, and they can develop eczema. However, I have a jrt, who is notorious for going in the river, and i do bathe him every fortnight, and so far he's been ok. Been doing it for a year now. Give it a try, if he starts to get skin problems then stop. I dont use dog shampoo - i use baby shampoo, and i also put conditioner on (my jrt has long hair too) As i said, i have been ok but all dogs are different.

You can bathe your dog every day if you want to with out any problems for the dog. Use a shampoo that is no tears so if the shampoo gets in his eyes it won't burn. Then use a hair conditioner on him. Usually a dog doesn't need a bath every day but you can do this without any harm to the dog.

It won't hurt anything but unless it is outdoors a lot in dirty conditions it isn't necessary.
