No, it means the baby is slightly jaundiced and should see his/her pediatrician asap. Don't wait, but don't panic. It's not uncommon. Your doctor does not need to check your breast in order for you to breast feed, only if you feel you are showing signs of mastitis (clogged milk ducts).

No my dear you are perfectly fine and you are giving the best start to your baby that you can give. Your little one is jaundice. This should clear up on it's own. Expose your baby to a little sunlight and make sure your baby is eating well . You have to feed more often to get this out of your baby's system. When you have your 1 week check up your dr will tell you if you have to do something else! Unless you have a check up before! Do not worry right now my dear and enjoy your new little one! Best of luck!

Yellowing of the skin and some times the whites of the eyes is called Jaundice, and usually peeks within 3-5 days after birth. you can still BF a jaundice baby, though the ped. might reccomend that you supplemet w/formula you don't have to they just don't like that it may take longer for the jaundice to go away in a BF baby, since the more fluids you intake the faster it tends to go away. Your Dr. don't examine your breats after you have a baby b/c you wat to BF. Although they prob. will at your 6 week check up. You don't have cancer you baby is jaundice and you should call your ped. and let him knwo if they don't already you might need to take your baby in for a blood test to make sure his Bili. leves arn't to high, if they are they can send you home with a Bili blanket or lights at home to help it.

Nothing is wrong with your breast and your dr doesn't need to check them either. Your baby has jaundice. Go and see your baby's pediatrician.

It has nothing to do with your breasts. The baby has jaundice get him to the hospital so that they could put him under lights. For breast feeding consult a lactation specialist.

That's yellow jaundice, and it's not caused by breast milk. Your doctor had no reason to 'check' your breasts. Had he tried, he would have been subject to sexual harassment charges.
