If someone accuses you of being an alcoholic, is there anything you can say in your own defence?

It both amuses and aggravates me how some people manage to justify their own various jones, but condemn that of others. All good and pleasurable things are "addictive;" it just depends upon the individual and whether or not they have any amount of self-control.

I like asking,"Are doughnuts a 'gateway' food?"

Some people are "workaholics," some can't resist stuffing their pie-hole; we all have our vices and weaknesses.

I wouldn't care if someone called me an alcoholic,I have more pressing issues to think about.

Put the question back on them.

"Why would you say such a thing?"
"Are you sure you're not projecting your problems on me?"
"What so-called evidence led you to come to that conclusion?"
