Many European powers had interests in the US, the British, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese, and to a lesser extent the Russians and Swedes all had colonies in what is now the US. The British had 13 colonies which were the first to declare themselves independent, which was so attractive many of the other colonies decided to join them.

Lets see, we have plumbing, electric, gas engines, diesel engines, insulated homes and air conditioning just to name a few. Did people from Europe invent these things, yes they did. People fail to see what this country has accomplished in 200 years and do not think about what it would be like to live without these items. Also ask yourself what country in existence today hasn't been conquered at not time or another

Some say the native Americans came from Asia.
But of course revisionists will say it was white, God fearing Europeans. Those "Christians" then slaughtered 13 million native Americans to set up their "Nation founded on Christian values", and then stole slaves to help make it work.
