The US is spread to thin in Iraq to worry about Iran...there will be a lot of posing and posturing...but unless bush invokes the draft, which he himself dodged, there will be no military action in Iran.

If the Dems win the white house in 2008 it would be more difficult for them to withdraw if the current administration extended the war on into Iran and showed a measure of military success prior to the Dems taking office.
The Neo Con plan does not succeed unless Iran is in the bag and out of the picture and in their mind “failure is not an option” .,
Had Iraq and Afghanistan succeeded they would have had Iran surrounded and they would not have stood a chance and most likely would have bent to the Administrations will with no military action required, it didn’t work out that way but regardless the Neo Con plan fails utterly so long as the Iatolla of Iran stands in power over the secular government.

The U.S. and especially Israel will never let Iran develop nuclear weapons. Personally the way I see it is they keep trying to negotiate diplomatically, since Iran's military is quite powerful (both in terms of size/power and chemical/biological weapon systems) and the U.S. certainly isn't in a position for war. However if Iran starts to reach the point when US/Israeli intelligence is almost certain they have succesfully developed nuclear weapons and the missile technology to deploy them then I think Israel will do a massive pre-emptive strike on Iran (possible even Nuclear) to eliminate any potential threat.. Why?? because Iran actually does want things to work out with the U.S. to some extent, but they have extreme hate for Israel. Also Israel is practically a next door neighbor, the missile technology necessary to reach the US will take a long time for Iran to perfect. However, this Israeli attack could somehow drag the US into the conflict...
Also as good as it may be for all the nuclear powers to give up nuclear technology and weapons following in the footsteps of South Africa this will never happen. This is because the threat posed by a nuclear power is of great importance as well as the weapons themselves. For example: think if Iran started shooting of Nukes into Israel or Europe or something, the obvious response would be nuclear to immediately wipe out any more potential damage that could be caused by Iran. Also Nuclear fuel may be dirty, but provides loads of energy and as cold fusion is developed could be very clean. The solution isn't abandoning nuclear capabilites but learning to RESPECT them and develop them to be cleaner etc...

War in Iraq and US policies shows the extremists are present in united states also not only in muslm world.Presents bush is an example. it seems that Iran will succeed in making nukes bcz russia and china r opposing any kind of strike and take iran's side on table. If iran get nukes they certainly will take the world to hell.A matter of great concern.

I really hope that's tongue in cheek, since no one is still claiming there were any WMDs.
I think that if Bush tried to attack Iran, his generals will quit on him, and I think he knows it. I don't think that will happen.
Iran has offered to come to nuclear disarmament talks with ANY country that will also consider disarming itself. This seems emminently fair to me. I hope it happens, and that the US, Great Britain, France, Russia and North Korea can all abandon not only nuclear weapons but nuclear fuel, which is expensive, unclean (when you consider the nuclear waste), and not in unlimited supply (like sunshine and wind are).
