I don't think anyone has ever ASKED me to be a role model, but I think I've done pretty well with it.

I started out at 21 when I started volunteering to teach Junior Achievement at a local High School. Later I volunteered to be on the re-election campaign for a Republican Senator.
I have been a Girl Scout leader for 5 years now and I have also volunteered with the 13-18 year old girls in our church. My most important role modeling is, of course with my own two children.

I've never been officially asked - but I know there are a lot kids who see me that way. I'm good at it because I'm not so old that I forget what it was like to be young - my life now is a great example to kids - I'm proof that it's never too late to start over and do things right.
