What's your opinion?

No x-rays, of course! Cost $33 per adjustment. "Dr." has been in practice for 20 some years. "Dr's" method is to use an adjustment gun instead of popping/cracking the back. Painless procedure.

What do you think?

oops, forgot to add that my family practicianer (and ob/gyn) said that a treatment wouldn't hurt me...

I went to a chiropractor during my pregnancy! It helped! I had back problem for years before my pregnancies. My chiropractor used a adjustment gun on during my pregnancies.

My OBGYN learned chiropractic remedies through medical school, and a lot of OB's used to practice both but these days the malpractice insurance is too high for them to do so; however mine showed me and my husband a safe way to crack my back and relieve a lot of discomfort. We used it throughout all 3 of my pregnancies.

I would lay flat on the floor - my husband would hold my right shoulder down and I'd bend my right leg up (leaving the left leg flat of the floor as much as possible) and he'd pull it over and pop pop then reverse it for the other side. It did help me. Just make sure who ever is doing this to you goes slow not fast and hard just easy.

And just so you know my oldest is only turning 7 so it wasn't that long ago he taught me this and my youngest is turning 2 he always approved of this proceedure.

Hope it helps!

I work for a chiropractor and he will not treat pregnant women after 20 weeks into their pregnancy for safety reasons. It might be easier if using an adjustment gun, but could still be dangerous so I would ask your physician. Mine said not to do it once you reach the middle of your second trimester. Maybe a physical therapist could help with stretching and strength training instead of adjustments.

If you are having pain talk with your OB about this matter. He/she can refer you to someone!

If your Dr said it was OK then go for it!
