Hypergluco - I am not my government. I do not agree with everything they do. "hungryhart" alludes to my seeking a higher plane of existence. Irony?

Bored English school children are no different than Bored American school children. I don't cater or respond to either.

Because the readers in the "Politics" section are mostly US adults.

The kids are conversing with people of the same intellectual capacity as they have at age 12.

Because they can. Just like we can post insults about them. It's all really puerile behavior. Not even worth questioning. Just a bunch of bored babies.

I'm an American, so don't be offended, but I suspect it is due to the fact that Ameircans are so easy to insult politically. We rally behind oil men who spend our national wealth on a war against an oil-rich nation, supposedly to protect the world from the WMDs that this tiny, impoverished nation is hiding and waiting to inflict upon the world. Of course, if they did have such weapons, they wouldn't be able to use them in an aggressive manner without insuring their own quick destruction.

We eagerly and earnestly embrace the rich man's propagandists, whom he has propped up all over the media that he own's, as if they were political analysts rather than propagandists.

We have nothing but the utmost respect for the rights of the super-rich to earn a profit -- even as that comes at the expense of the workforce who are actually the creators of all wealth.

We enrage and divide ourselves as we debate the selection of political candidates -- Republican or Democrat -- both of whom frequent the same parties and clubs and represent the interests of the same wealth elite.

Indeed, we are a stupid, stupid group of people, easily the butt of jokes to be enjoyed the world over.

So it's a wash.

Well there you go, curious, one reason why people don't like Americans. You don't care what anyone thinks. (The irony here being in your screen name.) The British, the UN, the rest of the world. You just carry on regardless, no matter what the cost to others.

HungryHart - I'm addressing curious_one, not you.
