Shakespeare is still studied today because he was a great poet etc.
He introduced words into the English language which we did not have before.

He was a very successful poet and playwright of his time, therefore, his work has carried on being a success until today. Not only did he produce some great works but he also gives us an insight into the past!

nicely...SHAKESPEARE IS THE KING OF LITERATURE!! LOL Shakespeare's characters are nicely developed, the two "flat" and "around," a lot of his performs cover historic activities (i.e. Julius Caesar, King Henry, etc.). Shakespeare created many of the main exciting thoughts that persons like retailing (the main well-known being Romeo And Juliet). modern-day playwrights try to be like Shakespeare! he's the main helpful for writing! no person has, in my opinion, got here on the factor of his fee. So, with all that mentioned, is why Shakespeare's writings are nonetheless accomplished/famous in the present day! wish this facilitates!

Beyond the fact that HE probably is introduced to students too young to GET IT, HE is probably the most important theatrical ICON of all time,,, to date.

Beyond the language which has to be excused due to the time period in which he lived, HE was the most prolific, intense, craft worthy POET of his day, and still ranks high 500 years later.

Playwrite beyond measure, and so waht if Thee and Thou, forsooth and Out Damn Spot was snippets of the text, HE wrote no differently, than MODERNS do.

It's all about PASSION, and if ya don't "get it", ya might never?

Just a silly aside. No less than 3 famous stars of the original Star Trek, were at one time, Shakesperian Actors.

Through his plays, he brings to life periods of our history which reflect turbulent times but which, even today, illustrate how much we have changed yet remained the same. His skill is in bringing to life great historical characters on the one hand and yet on the other he is also able to bring humour, bawdiness and pathos to larger than life characters. Of course, his varied range of subject matter is restricted in school learning but it does enable students to get a feel for his work and, hopefully, read on at a later time.

I think that through some miracle, he actually encompasses the 500 yrs of Western
civilization that he entered into. Although we are nearing the end of his compre-hension, he is eternal in his impact. "Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the sllngs
and arrows of outrageous fortune......" is such an enormous lesson to all, that one can
simply stand still and wait.

Is this a trick question? His works are still studied because they're light years better than anything that was written before or since.

Next question.
