I have a Viewsonic V35 Pocket PC and was wondering, on the back it says 5v 900mA adapter, I'm found out that 5.2v will work fine as voltage can vary by up to 1v up or down. The house adapter is 5.2v 900mA, I have a car adapter that is 5.2v 320mA, since the pocket pc says 900mA does that mean that I can't go over the mA, or is that the requirements? And if it will work, will my charge times vary? If so by how much, guesses are welcome. Any help/details anything will be appreciated.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that the sync cable I got for my pocket pc will charge it through the usb port, which runs up to 500mA, now if what you say is true how is my pocket pc charging? I just found this out today. I know the pc is charging, because the charge light comes on and when i go to power settings the battery bar is moving and status says charging. please note i just found out the mA of usb today.

No, the 320mA adapter can't deliver enough current for the PC.

You have to use an adapter with a capacity of at least 900mA.
A higher rating will be fine, it will deliver only the current demanded of it.

I have a Dell X51V Pocket PC. I have been experimenting
with volatge and current determing what will charge my
Pocket P.C. and play it at the same time.

What I have determined is if I want to use and charge at
the same time I need to meet to specs of the A.C. charger
for output voltage/current. My Pocket P.C. requires 5.4v
with a power supply rating of 2.4A.
On the bench I used an external power supply with a current
meter in line. With just about a dead battery, charging and
turned on in use, it draws 1.2 -1.3 amps. With the unit
off it drops to around 0.7 - 0.8 amps.

I also determined a voltage as low as 4.5v with the unit
off will charge but will not allow the unit to turn on.

Bottom line, it might charge the unit but it might not allow
you to play it at the same time.
