-There's no I in TEAM
-Don't get in fights with the other team, you WIN by making GOALS! Fighting in hockey is for adults, not youths. ;)
-Tell each player to "Strive for a HAT TRICK" and if every player makes it, that's 3 goals times no. of players, a SURE WIN!
-EVERY position is important, Goalie, Wing, etc.
I could probably think of others, but I don't know much about hockey...obviously not every player will make a hat trick, you just want them to set 3 goals as a personal mark to meet, not for THEMSELVES, but for the TEAM. Teamwork is key in any team sport, as I'm sure you know. Good luck coach and team! :)

If you're going to pressure the kid to go out there a win, then it's not going to be fun for him and he's not going to play the best he can.
