I was a room service waiter back in the early '80's and waited on several celebrities in their rooms.
Aretha Franklin was very nice. She liked Lipton hot tea with lemon and honey. She was a good tipper.
Bob Hope was nice, but cheap. He wanted homemade apple sauce and warm milk, so the kitchen had to run out, buy apples, and make the applesauce which wasn't on any of the menus. Gave a $1 tip on a $12 check.
John Waite from "I ain't missing you at all" and the Babys fame. The only recollection I have of that encounter is that my girlfriend was jealous that I got to meet him. lol
Rex Humbard the TV evangelist gave me a $12 tip on a $10 breakfast.
At a banquet, Johnny Bench, the former Cincinnati Reds catcher. He was a complete ******.
