The manual says that when the washer is installed originally to remove the bolts and throw them away. I kept them. Do I have to reinstall them for a 200 mile move?

They are put in there because shippers don't really care about being gentle in their handling of cargo. Those boxes really take a beating during transport, what with fork lifts, etc.

I would say, if you are reasonably careful, you wouldn't have to put them back in. After all, washers are moved every day by people moving.

On the other hand, as long as you have them, and if it is relatively easy to do, install them.

Congrats on the new place!

That's not a bad idea: 200 miles is a fairly long distance.
