o yeah, i lived on a park bench for a month once.... washed up in a public restroom to go to work, worked two jobs..... my body and hair smelled like hand soap, and my shoes wore out really fast. The hardest part was eating..... one job was at a factory and another was at a fast food restaurant, so i ate alright except when i had a day off at the restaurant. It was tough, because the town i was in was so small there was no soup kitchen or homeless shelter..... I stole bread and peanut butter once from a grocery store.
after i had saved enough money to get a place to live, i got a used ford ranger instead of an apartment, with a camper top on the back.... bought a used mattress to lay in the back... and because it was February, i got a little propane heater (the kind for camping) to keep me warm... but, still no pot to piss in, and no place to bath... but i got some shampoo and soap, so i could at least smell good.

so, to answer your question, YES YES YES.

Yes, but I have always had the window to throw it out of, I have gone through some lean times, where all I had was a house and food, no social life. I am thankful for that, I'm glad I've never had to go without those essentials.

Yeah, when I was on my own at 17, I ran out of gas in the road on my way to work to pick up my paycheck. I just stood there and cried while these nice dudes pushed my car to the side and went to the gas stations to buy for me and bring back some gas.
I felt so pathetic, but it showed that people can be very kind.
