I have no idea why this country has become a bunch of soft cowards than have a need to apologize to every race - every nation. Dodd is calling it like it is, good for him. I would venture to say the silent majority agrees. There is no need to say "sorry" for what was well deserved.

I'm a Democrat and Dodd just earned my respect by saying that. Frankly, I would've used the word son of ***** to describe Ahmadinejad. Dodd isn't that famous and is a dark horse candidate but is very good what he said. We, Democrats, detest Ahmadinejad.

No he shouldn't apologize. That's the way he feels, he spoke his mind, end of story.

Just like McCain shouldn't have apologized for his "wastedlives" remark.

There's too much PC crap going on in Washington. I want to know what my representatives think, not what the think I want to hear

Bravo to him

By the way RE: Rep Dodd. Check out how a veterans group ranks him among our elected representative at the link below.

Why should he apologize? He didnt do anything wrong. The Iranian President is off his rocker and he could have called him alot worse.

As a CT resident for over 20 years, I am highly amused that Chris Dodd is running for President.

NO NO NO the man is much worse than a thug. Have any of you ever heard an Iranian, mid easterner of any kind apologize for any of the acts of terror, killing maiming blowing things up, rioting, burning, burning American flags, dragging our soldiers through the streets, etc? HAVE YOU,? No, because they think they are one hundred percent in the RIGHT. Why, because their "god" told them to. Kill infidels Kill all who do not believe in Allah. And kill a lot that do in the process. Have any of you Googled the word Taliban see what come up. They are not exactly sunshine and light fellows. Dare you

More political correctness? Now, the loons on the left are wanting to do away with "illegal immigrant" in Florida. Here, your question indicates that calling this madman a "thug" is wrong. Since he is, in fact, a thug, there is nothing wrong with Dodd's choice of words.

My gosh....a democrat with some guts!!! Not only am I GLAD that he called him a "thug", I would be upset if he DID apologize.

Have you not heard what Ahmadinejad has said to his people in his speeches?? Among other things he has led the chant "Death to Israel, Death to America". He is also a holocaust denier. Not only is he a thug, he is ignorant as well.

Nope.
We have to get over this PC junk.
He has no problem calling us the devil. So what is the big deal if he gets some of the same medicine.

Interesting that he, and others, are calling the Iranian leader a "thug" and we are next door doing all the "thugging"!!!

It shouldn't be about votes, it's about intellectual honesty. Speak the truth, do what is right. No matter what anybody says then it's still right.
