electronic keyboard on comp keyboard possible, if so whats it called and is it free to dl?

Unfortunately, there is no way electronically
to measure how hard you are depressing a key.

That is, in electronic instruments, the processor
gets an idea of how hard the key was struck
and produces a correspondingly louder note.
That information would be unavailable to the
computer.

In any case, the computer keyboard is not
laid out like any instrument I know. You would
end up re-learning how to make music.

There are such programs - the only free one that I know that works however is called:

Garage Band

And comes standard with all OX Apple Mac systems. I would look at this site http://www.download.com and to search for any more applications.

Sadly however a few more that I am aware of really do set your budget back.

You might also be aware that you can buy usb connected Music keyboards for your system.

You can play the basic notes
however it is not as good as that of electronic keyboard
