Adopting one or 2 children does no longer something to address the authentic complications happening in impoverished international places. that is purely the celebs amassing children and feeling like saviors at the same time as they are many times sidestepping the guidelines to receive those children. in my opinion, i might want to somewhat stay in my own united states and way of existence and language than stay my existence as someone's' puppy. And wasn't Madonna funding the orphanage that Mercy replaced into residing in? If it replaced into such an undesirable position and she replaced into funding it, what does that say about Madonna?

As others have stated, the laws in the U.S. are considerably more strict and time consuming in comparison to other countries. Also, children in the countries have NO opportunities. None! If they're not cared for by an orphanage [often in strained conditions] they're left to die. Kids in the U.S. are placed in the foster care system and at least given an opportunity to succeed. Children in third world countries live in such deplorable conditions that some don't make it past childhood.

The same reason lots of Americans are adopting overseas.
The courts in this country will take away kids from parents who adopt and give them back to the biological mother.
Nobody wants to go through that pain.

Can you imagine someone to come into your home and take you 5 year old away and you can't do anything.

She's just dumb.It seems like the in thing to do right now.I agree that she an any body else should adopt from here first. As long as there is a child that goes to bed hungry in this country we are not doing all we can do.

The US has much higher standards for adoption than other countries. Here in the states it takes much more than income to become a parent. Not to mention the fact that she wouldn't get as much publicity.

Angelina was once in a mental health facility. This means she does not qualify to adopt in the US.

Maybe it's easier to adopt out of the country than in the country. With all the adoption processes they have to go through. Maybe she was turned down in the U.S.

Optics is one reason....and the laws are more strict in the US on adoption (on whether the potential parents measure up to the standards in the books)-then there is the wait list.

I know several people who have tried to adopt children in thte US. It id VERY difficult if you are not UNDER 30 years old, and MARRIED. Almost impossible, really.
